Does Instagram tell you who viewed your profile?
The short answer
No. Instagram has no feature that shows who viewed your profile, and it never will — any app claiming to reveal your profile visitors is fake and often a scam or data-harvesting trap. The only viewer data Instagram gives you is the list of people who watched your story or, for business accounts, aggregate reach numbers.
"See who viewed your profile" apps are one of the oldest Instagram scams. They can't do what they promise because Instagram doesn't expose that data — they exist to steal logins, show ads, or harvest personal information.
Real viewer data is limited to two places: your story's viewer list (individual names, until it expires) and, on professional accounts, anonymized insights like reach and impressions. Neither reveals who looked at your profile itself.
Are 'profile viewer' apps ever legitimate?
No. Instagram provides no profile-view data to any app, so every tool claiming to show your visitors is fabricating it. Don't enter your password.
What viewer info can I actually see?
Only your story viewers (by name, while the story is live) and, for business/creator accounts, aggregate reach and impression counts.
