Delete your account

You can delete your Lurk account and the data tied to it yourself, in the app or on the web. It takes about a minute. If you can't sign in, email us and we'll do it for you.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you're paying, cancel it first (see Stop billing below) or you'll keep being charged.

In the iPhone or Android app

  1. Open Lurk and go to Settings.
  2. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted right away.

Delete account appears once you're signed in. Never signed in? Uninstalling the app removes what's stored on your phone. Email us and we'll remove anything we hold for that device.

On the web

  1. Go to getlurk.app/login and sign in with the email, Google or Apple account you use for Lurk.
  2. In Settings, under Account, tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted right away.

Can't sign in?

Email support@getlurk.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". If you never added an email, send your purchase receipt so we can find the account. We reply within one month, usually much sooner.

What we delete

  • Your sign-in (email, Google or Apple) and the devices linked to your account
  • The list of Instagram accounts you track
  • Your Profile Shield settings
  • Push notification tokens, search history and alert history for your device

What we keep

  • Billing records (plan, amounts, dates and receipts) for 12 months after your subscription ends, for accounting and tax. They are no longer linked to your account.
  • Public Instagram data, like profiles and follow activity anyone can see. It is not about you as a Lurk user and is not linked to your account.
  • Purchases made through Apple or Google, which they also keep under their own policies.

Stop billing

Deleting your account never cancels a subscription. Cancel it where you subscribed:

  • App Store (iPhone or iPad): open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Lurk, then Cancel Subscription.
  • Google Play (Android): open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Lurk, then Cancel subscription.
  • Web (paid on getlurk.app): sign in at getlurk.app/login, open Settings, then under Subscription tap Cancel subscription. No login? Use the cancellation form.
