This board counts the new follow-edges pointing at each account over the last 7 days, then keeps only recognizable public accounts (verified, or 1M+ followers) so the list reads as notable figures rather than long-tail handles. Because Lurk maps a sample of the follow graph across 1,504 tracked accounts, these are relative momentum signals — a lower bound on real activity, not a measurement of each account's total new Instagram followers. All data is anonymized and aggregate; Lurk never exposes who followed whom.
